DISTRICT POLICE REASI FOILS BOVINE SMUGGLING ATTEMPT; VEHICLE SEIZED, FIR REGISTERED

Reasi, 07 March, 2026:* District Police Reasi continues its sustained drive against illegal activities in the district. In this connection, during the early hours today, a team from Police Post Bhambla intercepted a vehicle (Mahindra Bolero) bearing registration No. JK02BT-7658 which was found loaded with 03 bovine animals.Acting swiftly, the police party apprehended the vehicle and took cognizance of the matter. Preliminary inquiry revealed that the bovine animals were being transported under suspicious circumstances.Subsequently, a case FIR has been registered under relevant sections of law at Police Station Pouni and further investigation into the matter has been initiated to ascertain the circumstances and persons involved.The whole operation was carried out by 𝗦𝗛𝗢 𝗣/𝗦 𝗣𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗶 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽.
