DISTRICT POLICE REASI RESCUE FOUR MINOR CHILDREN FROM BEGGING AT BAN GANGA TRACK, KATRA

District Police Reasi, during routine/random checking at Ban Ganga, Katra, successfully rescued four minor children who were found begging on the sacred SMVD Ban Ganga Track.Upon noticing the minors engaged in begging, police personnel immediately intervened in the interest of the children’s safety and welfare. The minors were promptly rescued and necessary legal as well as welfare procedures were initiated strictly as per established norms, while also coordinating with the relevant stakeholders.The matter was brought to the notice of the concerned Child Welfare Authorities, namely *PRAYAS Juvenile Aid Centre, Katra, Reasi.* Subsequently, the rescued children were handed over to the said centre for further care, protection and rehabilitation.The whole operation was carried out by 𝗦𝗛𝗢 𝗣/𝗦 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽. 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗷𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵 𝗥𝗮𝗼, 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗗𝗣𝗢 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗗𝗿. 𝗕𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺 𝗗𝘂𝗯𝗲𝘆, 𝗝𝗞𝗣𝗦 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗣 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗦𝗵. 𝗩𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗻, 𝗝𝗞𝗣𝗦.𝗦𝗦𝗣 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶 𝗦𝗵. 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘃𝗶𝗿 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵-𝗝𝗞𝗣𝗦 reiterates its commitment to safeguarding the rights and well-being of children and appeals to the general public to report any instances of child begging or exploitation to the nearest police unit so that timely action can be taken.
