Indian Army Accorded Guard of Honour to JCO Sur jeet Singh as Last Rites Held at Sirla, Reasi

Indian Army Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) Subedar Surjeet Singh, a resident of Bhaga Sirla village in Reasi district, was today cremated with full military honours, amid an atmosphere of deep grief and solemn respect. The final rites were performed in the presence of senior army officials, local administration, family members, and a large number of people who gathered to pay their last respects to the brave soldier. According to Indian army , Subedar Surjeet Singh was part of an operational duty assignment in the Bari Brahmana area of Jammu, where he sustained a gunshot injury under suspicious circumstances. He was immediately evacuated and rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Despite the best efforts of the doctors, he succumbed to his injuries, laying down his life in the line of duty while serving the nation.Subedar Surjeet Singh’s supreme sacrifice has left the entire region in mourning. He is survived by his family, including his 13-year-old son and his four-year-old innocent daughter, whose future now stands overshadowed by an irreplaceable loss. His martyrdom stands as a symbol of courage, dedication, and selfless service to the country.The Indian Army and the district administration expressed their deepest condolences to the bereaved family and assured all possible support during this difficult time.
