International Veer Bal Diwas was observed with deep reverence and enthusiasm at Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS), Reasi. The programme witnessed active participation from students and teachers, making the occasion both meaningful and inspiring.On this solemn occasion, students were sensitised about the timeless values of courage, bravery, unwavering faith, and supreme sacrifice. Special emphasis was laid on instilling moral strength and patriotic spirit among the students.Through the address of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Veer Bal Diwas, the unparalleled martyrdom of the younger Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh Ji was remembered. The students were encouraged to draw inspiration from the noble ideals, steadfast faith, and fearless spirit demonstrated by the Sahibzadas at such a tender age.It is pertinent to mention that Veer Bal Diwas is commemorated every year on December 26 in the sacred memory of Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, the younger sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who attained martyrdom while standing firm in their faith. Their supreme sacrifice continues to serve as an eternal symbol of valour, devotion, and moral courage for generations to come.The programme concluded with a pledge by the students to uphold the values of truth, righteousness, and bravery in their lives.
